They’re a good organization.

Every little bit… stream, download, CD… counts and goes to a good cause. Thanks for listening!

Listening to this demo recording of [*Resolves*](https://thty8p35tm9d6f9.onstatic.studio/works-catalog/resolves/) by [cellist, Carmine Miranda](https://www.carminemiranda.com/) – I was struck by how similar the relationship between composer and musician is to the relationship between playwright and actor. Miranda – I was struck by how similar the relationship between composer and musician is to the relationship between playwright and actor.

It is always so amazing after writing a piece, to then have a great performer bring the work to life with their passion, masterful artistry and skill.

Carmine plays this piece so soulfully and beautifully.

Just wanted to share this lovely concert video of Moonkyung Lee’s performance of “Jilted Tango” at the Seoul Art Center. She’s such an exquisitely skilled violinist. She’s also recording this piece for her next PARMA Recordings release. Can’t wait… and who knows… keeping fingers crossed that PARMA may possibility consider making another fabulous tango dance video to go with Moonkyung’s recording. Wouldn’t that be so cool?!

Very proud to have my music featured as part of the fascinating world mix of the April edition of [Collective Soundwaves](https://collectivesoundwaves.com/moderncomposers). Thanks to orchestral composer Sae Ely who founded this site in 2016.

Please consider a listen.

Not quality visuals, but… The music comes through in this exquisitely soulful world premiere performance of “In Passages” by violinist, Pam Davis as soloist with the Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor, Christopher Kelts.

Soprano, Minkyung Lee beautifully captures the emotional essence of this song in her stunning performance of [These days](https://thty8p35tm9d6f9.onstatic.studio/works-catalog/these-days/) on the Lux Musicae “Soloists” April 4, 2017 concert program at the Palmetto Center for the Arts.

A cool blog post on [Second Inversion](http://secondinversion.org/2017/03/08/women-in-new-music-50-pieces-of-advice-from-women-composers/) in celebration of International Women’s Day of women speaking about being women in music. I loved having the chance to chime in too as #20, THANKS Second Inversion

I just posted the second animated segment of the Classical Discoveries broadcast interview for my [Dream Vapors](https://thty8p35tm9d6f9.onstatic.studio/discography/dream-vapors-selected-works-for-orchestra/) CD. This part of the interview is about the emotional inspirations of my music and the concept of “dream vapors.”

The short interview segment (4’) concludes with [PARMA Recordings](http://parmarecordings.com/index.html)‘ track of [Tracing a Dream](https://thty8p35tm9d6f9.onstatic.studio/works-catalog/tracing-a-dream/) performed by the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor, [Ovidiu Marinescu](http://www.marinescu.com/splash2.php).

The interview was animated by [Sabrina Pena Young](http://sabrinapenayoung.blogspot.com/).

Young is a lecturer and writer on music technology, social media, online collaboration, marketing, and contemporary music, who enjoys combining futuristic fantasy with technology and creating innovative hybrid works that have never been seen before. Her animated opera *Libertaria: The Virtual Opera*, is the world’s first feature length machinima opera.

[Marvin Rosen](http://www.classicaldiscoveries.org/aboutmr.html) is the host and producer of the weekly radio program [Classical Discoveries](http://www.classicaldiscoveries.org/) on [WPRB 103.3FM](http://wprb.com/), Princeton, NJ. This unique radio program is devoted to little known repertoire of all musical periods, with a special mission to expose beautiful, little-known 20th and 21st-century music to audiences.

Ending 2016 on some hight notes, I’m thrilled to have my orchestral CD, [Dream Vapors](https://thty8p35tm9d6f9.onstatic.studio/discography/dream-vapors-selected-works-for-orchestra/), on two “*Best of 2016*” lists

Jack Sullivan’s picks for the [American Record Guide](http://www.americanrecordguide.com/meet-the-critics.html), and Raphael de Acha’s picks for his blog, [rafaelmusicnotes](https://rafaelmusicnotes.com/2016/12/31/my-favorite-cds-of-2016/).
